CRSC offers recreational soccer for players that are U5-U8 years of age. Teams are made up of 10-12 players and non-competitive games are played in a 4v4 format on a smaller sized field which allows more playing time, more contacts with the ball and more interaction with the coach. Score is not kept. Typically rec soccer begins with 30 minutes of fun skills that focus on basic ball handling, correct throwing and kicking technique and game basics, which is followed with a short 30 minute game.

The season begins the week before Memorial Day and ends with a Jamboree on the third weekend in July.

Rec soccer relies entirely on parent coaching volunteers. Each team requires two coaches and one manager. CRSC provides all the training in a fun atmosphere. Rec soccer’s main objective is fun and healthy exercise and development of the love of the game!

CRSC’s rec soccer program is fully sanctioned by Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. For more information visit and click on Leagues/Small sided.

Registration concludes on 4/4, after which there is a $10 late fee applied. No registrations are accepted after 4/20 unless there is a spot available on an already-formed team due to an odd number of prior registrants.

CRSC offers competitive soccer for players age U9-U18. Travel soccer begins in February/March with indoor practice. Teams move outside as soon as weather permits. Games begin the first week of May and end in early to late July, depending on weather the team participates in playoffs. There are usually 10-12 games played during the season. CRSC can not guarantee that a team will be available for every child. A full refund will be given to players not placed on a team, as well as suggestions for openings on teams in nearby clubs. Teams usually meet three times a week.

U9 & U10 play two 25 minute halves in a 6v6 format. Official scores & standings are not kept.

U11 & U12 play two 30 minute halves in an 8v8 format. Scores and standings are kept.

U13 & U14 play two 35 minutes halves on a full sized field with 11v11.

U15 & U16 play two 40 minute halves, 11v11.

U17-U19 play two 45 minute halves, 11v11.

As soccer grows in popularity, there are increasing requests for teams to stay togther, for players to "play up", for players to have specific coaches, etc. The club has formed very careful policy surrounding these topics and may be viewed on our policy page

For those new to travel soccer, or wanting to know the difference between rec and travel soccer, please view our FAQ page.

CRSC makes available many soccer opportunities not associated with Fall & Summer travel and rec soccer. Take advantage of fast-paced Indoor Boarded Soccer (played inside a turfed hockey rink), Summer Camp thru Challenger British Soccer, and rec-age clinics. Members will receive emails promoting these opportunities. You may always visit our registration page for current offerings.
